TAYLOR LISBY, KENNEL ASSISTANT
Taylor is a bright young lady who plans to become a veterinary technician. She has been working as a kennel assistant at Countryside Veterinary Clinic since 2017 and plans to attend Metropolitan Community College Maplewoods to earn her degree. Taylor works with our boarders and assists with various tasks throughout the clinic.
LISA JOHNSTON, EQUINE TECHNICIAN
In 1998 Lisa joined our Countryside Veterinary Clinic team. She graduated from Nova Scotia Agricultural College in 1990 with her veterinary technician degree and has since continued to develop her education as an equine technician. She works extensively with our equine doctor. Her duties include radiographs, laboratory sample collection, bandaging, dental assistant and inventory management. In 2002 Lisa became Coggins certified and has since run our in house Coggins lab.
MELANIE GIBBENS, RVT
Melanie is a 2015 graduate from Brown-Mackie College. Her duties as veterinary technician include anesthesia monitoring, radiographs, client education, surgical preparation and lab sample collection. Melanie enjoys working with both large and small animals and has been very active in Project Pet, Countryside Vet Clinic’s Spring Fling event for the youth of Garnett.
MARILYN PEINE, RECEPTIONIST
In November, 2014 Marilyn joined the Countryside Veterinary Clinic team. She works as our receptionist. Her primary focus is welcoming clients to the clinic, phone management and appointment scheduling. Marilyn’s ability to make client’s feel at home makes her a welcome addition to our staff.
JENNIFER STILLINGS, RECEPTIONIST
In 2017 we welcomed Jen as a full-time receptionist. Jen’s previous experience as a kennel help and veterinary assistant has prepared her for providing top-notch customer service. Her primary duties include answering the phone, appointment scheduling and creating an orderly flow for clients and pets.
JERRY LOU ROBINSON, RECEPTIONIST
Jerry Lou has been a valued employee of Countryside Veterinary Clinic for 15 years. She graduated from Emporia State University and works as bookkeeper and part-time receptionist. While she loves her bookkeeping position, Jerry Lou enjoys getting to know our clients. Her duties include appointment scheduling, greeting clients and phone management.
BOBBIE BROWN, RECEPTIONIST
Bobbie started working as a receptionist for us at the end of December 2019. Before she came to us, she had done a variety of jobs that give her lots of experience with animals large and small, as well as top-tier hospitality and organizational management skills. In her spare time Bobbie enjoys traveling and farming, and ranching since she grew up on a farm. Bobbie is always happy to help all of our clients and their pets!
CATLIN LINDSAY, SMALL ANIMAL ASSISTANT
Catlin Lindsay joined our team in August 2019. She works as a small animal assistant and has a ready smile for all our patients. Catlin went to school at Lyndon High School and graduated in 2012. She received her Associates degree from Allen County Community College in 2014. Catlin is an avid gamer and enjoys working with animals.
ROSS JOHNSON, LARGE ANIMAL ASSISTANT
Ross joined our team in 2020. He is a large animal assistant and enjoys working with people and making them smile. Ross is happy to help out with anything and everything in the clinic, but can be found primarily working with large animals alongside Dr. Davy Allison. His favorite hobby outside of work is beekeeping.
RYELEE ROCKERS, KENNEL ASSISTANT
Ryelee is a senior in high school and has been working as a kennel assistant for us since December 2019. She loves coming to work every day and says that her favorite part of her job is getting to spend time with lots of new dogs and cats. Ryelee is always willing to lend a helping hand in the clinic and brings so much happiness and positivity with her each shift. She is great at making our boarding guests feel comfortable and cared for!
